Zamfara first Female commissioner dead at 78

The death has accrued of Zamfara state first female commissioner, Hajiya Hajara Tambaya Audu.


Late Hajiya Tambaya who is also the first registered Midwifery in Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States died at the age of Seventy Eight.

She died at Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital Gusau following a protracted illness, leaving behind her Husband Alhaji BM Audu, Four Children and Ten grand children.

Among her children are Saudatu BM Audu Secretary Zamfara Pension Board, Muhammad Lawal Audu of Petroleum equalization Fund and Amina BM Audu of Federal University Gusau.

Her remain was laid to rest at Tudun Wada Cemetery after a funeral prayer led by Liman Halilu Anka in accordance with the Islamic rite.

The funeral prayer was attended by Emir of tsafe Muhammad Bawa, Zamfara State Head of Service Kabiru Balarabe, permanent Secretaries, Haruna Salau, Ahmad Sale and Kabiru Gayari, former commissioners among many dignitaries Until her death, Haj. Hajara Tamabaya was DG Women Affairs Sokoto State and a retired Metron.

Late Tambaya Audu was the first Commissioner Ministry of Women Affairs Zamfara State.
